Dr. Voldemars Lejins

Gynaecologist
In 1993 was practising in the clinic of Minneapolis, US, under the supervision of Dr. H. Bonga and Dr. J. Dimanta, where he perfected his gynaecological operating technique and took part in consultations. In 1995 he trained to carry out IVF procedures in Helsinki, Finland. He was the first to perform these procedures in Latvia. With the aid of his colleague, D. Majore, the first baby was born using the new IVF technique on 18th June 1997. He has practiced and studied in clinics in the USA, Canada, Spain, France and other clinics around the world. As well as being proficient in all types of gynaecological surgery he specialises in infertility diagnosis and treatment.

Dr. Daina Majore

Laboratory Specialist and Geneticist
Works in The EGV Clinic as an embryologist. She has acquired theoretical and practical knowledge in embryology in various clinics around Europe. In 1995, she was the first to perform IVF procedures in Latvia. In the IVF laboratory she works with patients oocytes and spermatocytes, testing the viability of embryos and storing them using world recommended methods. She manages the sperm bank by evaluating the sperm, freezing/ thawing and storing it.

Dr. Vineta Aukone

Laboratory Specialist and Geneticist
Works in The EGV Clinic as an embryologist. She has acquired theoretical and practical knowledge with Dr. Daina Majore and Dr. Lev Levkovs. In the IVF laboratory she works with patients oocytes and spermatocytes, testing the viability of embryos and storing them using world recommended methods.

Dr. Modrite Kraujina

Gynaecologist, obstetrician
Graduated in 1990 from Riga Medical Institute, Medical Faculty. Carries out: gynaecological examination and treatment, diagnosis and treatment of female infertility, obstetric monitoring. Specialises in operative gynaecology. She has practiced in Washington, USA. She continues her professional education through international courses and seminars.

Dr. Iveta Bicevska

Gynaecologist, obstetrician and ultrasonographer
In 1993, she graduated from Latvian Medical Academy. She examines and consults patients regarding infertility and family planning issues. She carries out prenatal observations, examinations and monitoring, abdominal, gynaecological and breast ultrasound examination. She continues her professional education through international courses and seminars.

Dr. Aija Tula- Rijkure

Gynaecologist, Sexologyst, sexopathalogist, transology psychotherapist
Carries out gynaecological examination and treatment, as well as obstetric monitoring. Graduated in 1982 from Riga Medical Institute, Medical Faculty. In the period of 1996 to 1999, she completed several courses in sexology, sexopathology and psychotherapy. In 1998 co-founded the Latvian Childbirth promotion fund. She has acquired theoretical and practical knowledge in various courses and seminars in Sweden, Kazakhstan, Netherlands, Italy, Greece, Hungary, USA, Chile, Czech Republic, Scotland and Russia. She has been a member of Latvian Association of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians since 1990 and Vicepresident of Latvian Association of Sexologists and sexopathologists since 1999.

Dr. Vita Zacesta

Gynaecologist, obstetrician
Carries out general gynaecological examination, gynaecological ultrasound examination. Consults in following issues: family planning, contraception. Carries out obstetric monitoring. She continues her professional education through international courses and seminars.

Olga Konstantinova

Psychologist
In 1998 she graduated from Russian Open University, Faculty of Psychology in Moscow. In 2003 she participated in the course Coaching Technologies. In 2004 she studied at the School Of Integrated Psychotherapy (Institute Of Practical Psychology in Russian Academy Of Education) Trained and Certified in Somatic Psychotherapy in 2004. She works with individual and family problems. One of the main problems for people today is chronic anxiety. The pace of life, the stress of work and the lack of leisure time are major contributors to the stress that people become accustomed and adapt to. Unfortunately the lack of time prevents them from sharing their concerns with their loved ones. She uses Somatic Psychotherapy to relieve stress, anxiety, psychosomatic blocks which delay the treatment process and can sometimes be the cause of the psychological infertility. These consultations are carried out up until the first trimester of pregnancy. It is important for the new mother to become accustomed to her new role. Especially if she has been infertile for a long period of time. A woman needs to learn to be satisfied with an assisted reproductive pregnancy. It should be a natural process. She works with couples with fertility problems and women who will undergo the IVF procedure. For these people, psychological support and understanding is very important.

Dr. Kristine Ducena

Endocrinologist, ultrasonographer
In 2000, Dr. Kristine Ducena graduated from Latvian Medical Academy. She consults patients and carries out thyroid ultrasound examination.She continues her professional education through international courses and seminars.

Dr. Zane Vitina

Gynaecologist, ultrasonographer
Carries out general gynaecological examination and treatment. Consults in following issues: infertility, family planning, contraception. Carries out obstetric monitoring. She has practiced and studied in Umea University clinic in Sweden, and Charitae, Berlin, Germany. She continues her education in University of Uppsala, Sweden.
