Ph.D. Ilona Jonina

Embryologist with more than 25 years of experience - Ilona Joniņa. She received her education at the Faculty of Medical Biology of the Russian State Medical University, specializing in biophysics. There she received her doctorate, specializing in histology, cytology and embryology. She has worked at the EGV Clinic since its (clinic’s) foundation - since 1998, and from 2006 to 2016 - at the private clinic “Jūsu Ārsti”. Extensive experience has also been gained through work in clinics: Estonia (Elite, Tartu), Finland (Vaestilito, Helsinki), USA (Institute of Reproductive Genetics in Chicago), Russia (International Center for Reproductive Medicine in St. Petersburg), Belgium (University of Brussels, Center for Medical Genetics), Denmark (numerous ORIGIO courses), and also attended Kuwayama vitrification courses.
